SOLUMAT IDF supplies formwork, shoring and collective safety equipment for VINCI Construction France in Île de France region.

The first presentation of the Kross Builder trolley took place in May 2019 on a DUMEZ construction site at La Défense. Mr Bastien Langlet, in charge of this rehabilitation site, was won over by the French Tech tool. Field testimonials highlighted the ease of handling props and shoring towers for this office rehabilitation site, which offered open platforms, and free of traffic.

Following this first test, Davylyn Khambay, head of the Kross Builder construction department, got in touch with the equipment manager of SOLUMAT IDF’s shoring formwork and safety division to set up a first deployment of the Kross Builder trolley in rental format. On this second construction site, the trolley, which was expected to assist the workers in the rehabilitation phase, also found its interest in the new construction phase.

Seduced by these initial returns, and confident of the productivity gains offered by the tool, SOLUMAT IDF decided to purchase three Kross Builder that have been deployed in tests within VINCI Construction France companies. The projects concerned are as follows:

The tests and REX of these first 3 investments are monitored by a working group representing each VINCI Construction France division in IdF, under the leadership of SOLUMAT IDF and in close collaboration with Kross Builder.

In parallel with these tests, VINCI Construction companies can hire a forklift truck from their SOLUMAT IDF equipment department, as has just been done by DEGAINE, a subsidiary specialising in historic monuments. Adapted to protected sites, Kross Builder thus becomes a player in the renovation of the National Library of France (BnF).

Finally, the fleet management solution proposed by Kross Builder, will probably be the solution chosen by SOLUMAT IDF. This new service provides our customers with inter-site logistics as well as permanent maintenance of our trucks on your sites.
